Our December 2019 selection for Music of the Month Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll Cold Light
Lee Blackstone writes in his RootsWorld review, "Wyke and Driscoll have produced an album of folk music that mixes wondrous chamber-pop deeply founded on a respect for traditional music and modern songcraft. Cold Light stands as one of the strongest releases of the year."

The artists write, "Cold Light has been a real journey for us and this is reflected in the music; we visit the past with ancient melodies and traditional dance tunes and combine this with newly-written songs which touch on personal stories. As with our previous albums the fiddles are at the heart of everything but this time we have also enjoyed developing our sound and experimenting with different instruments. We have some very special guest musicians who have joined us for some of the tracks. Cold Light shifts from a representation of our live sound to a deeper exploration into the music."
