The album captures Youssou N'Dour and his band Le Super Etoile de Dakar at a seminal moment in their career as they travelled the world as the main support act on Peter Gabriel's So Tour. Recorded in Athens, Greece in October 1987, and never previously available on CD/Download, the album features not only Youssou's full live set but also a rousing version of In Your Eyes, with Youssou joining Peter Gabriel on stage. As Peter says in his introduction of the band to the Greek crowd that October night; "You are about to see a remarkable group of musicians, playing some of my favourite music. I ask you to give them a warm reception and a good listen: Youssou N'Dour et Le Super Etoile de Dakar!" Almost thirty years later, you too can now enjoy the young N'Dour, just 28 at the time and already and big star in West Africa, as he makes that final step towards international stardom.
